The GRAMMY Museum® will commemorate the 50th anniversary with the opening of Monterey International Pop Festival: Music, Love, and Flowers, 1967 on Thursday, May 11 at the GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles. The exhibit will tell the story of the first-ever rock festival, held over three days from June 16 – 18, 1967 in Monterey, CA; the artists who performed, including Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, and Janis Joplin; and the impact it had on music, music festivals, and pop culture. The exhibit will feature artifacts from the personal collection of Monterey Pop co-founder Lou Adler, and will be on display on the GRAMMY Museum’s third floor through fall 2017 – click HERE to visit their website.
